NORTH BEND, OR – Both current and potential business owners can learn how to establish and maintain a simple set of books on the cash basis through a dynamic four hour workshop being offered by the Southwestern Oregon Community College Business Development Center in North Bend on Wednesday, February 10. The Simplified Bookkeeping Workshop is scheduled from 6:00 to 10:00 pm.
Instructor Mike Gordon, CPA, will cover basic bookkeeping concepts, including setting up a manual bookkeeping system, establishing the books of original entry, and recording business transactions. How and when to computerize accounting systems, the differences between cash and accrual basis accounting, and tips to make your records “goof proof” will also be discussed.
The workshop is $35 per person and pre-registration is required by calling the Southwestern Oregon Community College Business Development Center at 541-756-6866.
