If you’re looking for a meal made with high-quality ingredients for a fair price, then take a look at the Portland Bagel Company! It is a local owned business ran by Jeanne & Bruce Moore. Among having numerous choices of bagels, they also have a nice selection of gluten-free goodies such as cookies, potato chips, brownies, and pretzels. You can also choose your favorite bagel and make a sandwich out of it.
The produce they use is of high-quality and enriches the bagel or bread. For example, one of our members had the very popular Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich on the cheddar cheese bagel. He stated that the bacon was very flavorful and had just the right amount of avocado. The cheese from the bagel added to the sandwich, without overpowering the other ingredients. Another member had the Lox, made with fresh Oregon Lox, cream cheese, tomatoes, red onion, and capers. He stated that the Lox was very delicious and was happy that the bread was able to be gluten-free because of his dietary restrictions. Our third member had The Veggie, which has your choice of veggie cream cheese or hummus with lettuce, tomato, red onion, olives, pepperoncinis, artichoke hearts, cucumber and garlic oil. She stated that it was very good and enjoyed it very much.
Do you like savings or special deals? If you follow Portland Bagel Company’s Facebook page, they are constantly posting secret words, that if you say them during your visit, you will receive a special deal or savings. Additionally, Portland Bagel Company also does free deliveries within the Coos Bay/North Bend area, a service you don’t commonly see.
While you wait in anticipation of your yummy meal, they have chalkboard tabletops that you can doodle on and distract yourself. There is also a fireplace that you can gather around on rainy days. There is a knitting group that likes to meet up at Portland Bagel Company and gather around the fireplace during cold days.
We highly recommend checking out Portland Bagel Company today! If you’re in need of a good bagel, or maybe some gluten-free goodies, you now know where to go!
